What you become
The CIHC Diploma is built around coaching fluency anchored in clinical reasoning. Four outcomes a graduate should be able to demonstrate by the end of the programme.
01
Understand the systems behind nutrition, lifestyle, sleep, stress and metabolism well enough to make coaching conversations specific, defensible and evidence-anchored.
02
Translate broad lifestyle recommendations into specific, achievable, individual plans. Hold clients to a sustainable arc rather than a list of restrictions.
03
Read a basic nutrigenomic or microbiome report well enough to incorporate its findings into a coaching plan, without overstating the science.
04
Build a practice that hospitals, clinics and corporate wellness programmes recognise as a structured profession rather than a side service.
Who the programme is for
The CIHC Diploma is designed for working health and wellness practitioners who want to add scientific grounding to their coaching practice. It is not a beginner-level wellness course.
Every cohort goes through a short application review. Not every applicant is admitted, which is what protects the integrity of the credential and the depth of the cohort discussions.
What you learn
The curriculum is sequenced around what a working health coach actually needs in clinical conversation. Academic breadth for its own sake is not the goal.
01
The systems view of health. How nutrition, sleep, stress, movement and environment shape outcomes. The clinical reasoning that connects these systems for a coach.
02
How to make nutrition advice specific to the person in front of you. Indian dietary patterns, family context, real food access. Where research is settled and where it is still moving.
03
The actual hard part. Why intervention plans fail and what to do about it. Motivational interviewing, habit architecture, and coaching cadence for sustainable change.
04
Introductory work on nutrigenomic and microbiome reports. Enough to integrate findings into a coaching plan and refer onward when clinical depth is needed.
05
Building the practice itself. Client intake, structured progress reviews, coaching documentation, and the cohort closes with case-based assessment drawn from real situations.
Certification is awarded after case-based assessment and a final coaching review. The credential is recognised by Sambalpur University.
How the programme runs
Most participants are working coaches, dieticians or wellness practitioners. The schedule is designed to run alongside an active client practice, not in place of it.
Why this credential matters
Generic dietary advice and one-size-fits-all wellness plans are losing trust in India. Clients are asking for personalised, biology-aware guidance that respects their context, their family, their food culture, and their actual day.
Health coaches who can hold that conversation with both scientific grounding and practical wisdom are still rare. The coming decade will need them in significant numbers, working alongside doctors and dieticians as part of an integrated preventive care team.
The Certified Integrative Health Coach credential is recognised by Sambalpur University, anchoring it within institutional academic infrastructure rather than treating it as a short course. The qualification is intended to be defensible across clinical, corporate and independent practice settings.
Where graduates work
The CIHC Diploma translates directly into coaching and consulting work. Graduates typically move into one of three settings, sometimes across more than one.
Independent coaching practice
Private coaching practices built on biology-aware methodology. Often blended with an existing client base from yoga, nutrition or wellness work, now structured as a credentialed coaching service.
Integrative clinic and hospital roles
Hospital wellness departments, integrative medicine centres and preventive clinics building structured coaching arms alongside their medical practice.
Corporate and institutional wellness
Companies and institutions investing in structured preventive health programmes for their employees. The credential provides defensible methodology in a sector that has lacked clinical rigour.
How to apply
The application is short. The conversation that follows is what decides whether the programme is the right fit for you and for the cohort.
01
Tell the team about your background, where you currently work, and why this programme matters for you. Two or three paragraphs is enough.
02
WinSkill responds with a short call or message exchange. The goal is mutual fit. The team is honest if the programme is not right for your stage.
03
Once admitted, you receive the cohort schedule, fee structure, onboarding material and access to the first module. The next six months begin from there.
The fastest way to begin is a message. Most applications are answered within the working day.
